Dispatch and a carrier home

Your truck.
A team behind the haul.

The TOAD carrier program is for operators who need a carrier arrangement as well as dispatch support. Understand the service, rate, and onboarding process in one place.

Who this path is for

If you do not have active authority of your own, this is the TOAD service path to explore. Joining a carrier operation requires review of the driver, equipment, insurance arrangements, and operating responsibilities. It is separate from independent dispatch for carriers who already run under their own authority.

15% total, explained clearly

The service rate is 15% of total load revenue: a 10% dispatch component plus a 5% carrier-program component on the same revenue base. The 15% already includes dispatch.

Fuel, insurance, equipment, driver compensation, and other operating costs are separate according to the carrier agreement. The additional 5% is TOAD’s carrier-program charge, not a government registration fee.

The dispatch support behind the program

  • Load sourcing and rate discussions suited to the operation.
  • Route and schedule review, including empty and repositioning miles.
  • Broker coordination and written load details.
  • Pickup, delivery, document, and issue follow-up.
  • Weekly review of results and open items.

How onboarding works

Start with your truck and trailer, current location, preferred lanes, and availability. The carrier review then addresses the applicable driver qualifications, equipment information, operating arrangements, and written terms. Each load follows the carrier approval process.

Carrier requirements and operating status

TOAD carrier authority is not active. Operating under TOAD requires active authority, the applicable insurance and qualifications, and approved onboarding. A website inquiry does not authorize hauling.

The 7-day trial covers the dispatch component. The referral program reduces your service rate by 2.5 percentage points for each qualifying referral.
